We started this winter with record breaking temperatures and LOTS of snow. I really love winter. Yes, it means more "indoor time" that I would hope but we get to craft a lot, and that is a win for me.
One easy and super fun project for cold and snowy days is painting snow. Watercolor painting is our "go-to craft" so it makes everything extra simple. Preparation is minimum and the kids always have a great time!
Materials:
- Water Proof tablecloth;
- Watercolor (we use this one );
- Assorted brushes (we use this set );
- Container for the snow;
- Craft paper or white poster board.
After the table is set, I just let them paint the snow and the craft paper around. They really enjoy the experience and I count it as both a creative and a sensory experience.
Have you enjoyed this project? What is your go-to winter craft?
